PikaTorrent is a decent (and stable, as far as I can tell) alternative to other more popular BitTorrent clients, but it's in no way or shape more powerful. Well, if you like minimalist BitTorrent clients that hint towards Pokemon, and you're not profoundly against Electron-based apps, then really not much. Speaking of Android apps, you can also link the apps (the Android app and the desktop app) together and control your torrents remotely, but be warned, this feature is (currently) as experimental as they come. It's also available for both Windows and Linux (can be installed on most distros directly from Flathub or via npm (npm install -g pikatorrent), and it even has a web app and a dedicated Android app. In terms of functionality, you're provided with the option to share your torrents with other people, organize torrents (with the help of labels), filter torrents (and benefit from a "fuzzy" search), and quickly find torrents online, and change the search engines (all directly within the app). It's modern, clean, and super user-friendly (and it even has support for dark mode). The GUI is probably the app's most appealing feature. the new BitTorrent clients have something new to offer? PikaTorrent is one of the newest BitTorrent clients out there (in fact, it's still in early development at this point) and it doesn't bring anything revolutionary or new to the table, but it is rather "cute", just like Pikachu (hence, the name!). There are so many very good and well-established BitTorrent clients out there that it would seem a bit odd that there are still new ones getting released, right?
